today was my very first day of school down here at BYU in Provo.
it was bittersweet.
it's so nice to be back and seeing old friends and walking around the beautiful campus with all it's fragrant flowers (holy cow those flowers are smelly!) and to be living with five other girls who i absolutely l.o.v.e.
but....it was also nice being home for the summer hanging out with my family and friends and such.
so, bittersweet is a pretty good description, i suppose.
but today in my first class of the semester (New Testament) my professor asked us if we knew the most frequently asked question in Provo. of course none of us were willing to give an answer being the first day and all (we may have been a little nervous of him-and each other)
so the professor went up to the board and drew this....
a little corny, but we sure got a kick out of it.
after that class i was busy bustling around campus just running a few errands.
i cannot believe how many people i knew! i kept running into people from my ward last year, and friends from old classes. it was so great.
maybe i just liked seeing a familiar face out of the the thirty thousand people walking around campus,
maybe it was just fun to reunite with some friends,
but i think the real reason was that i started to actually kinda sorta feel like i belong here.
and that's a good feeling.
